Service

Furnishing & Styling

A rustic wooden table with a potted plant and fabric swatches, in a cozy, well-decorated room with a bookshelf and large indoor plant in the background.

Who this is for

  • A new build or renovation that is complete and needs furnishing throughout.
  • A house you already live in, where you want whole rooms resolved rather than a chair replaced.
  • A second home that needs to be furnished remotely and finished before the first visit.
  • Anyone who has tried to do it a piece at a time and watched the rooms refuse to agree with each other.

This is not the service if walls are moving, cabinetry is being built or permits are involved — that is Construction and Renovation Design. And we do not take single-room refreshes using existing furniture; the value here is in resolving whole rooms at once.

What is included

Design

  • Measurement and furniture plans for every room in scope
  • A concept presented in full — plans, palette, materials, elevations where they help
  • Upholstery, case goods, rugs, lighting and window treatments specified together
  • Art, mirrors, and the objects that make a room look gathered rather than delivered
  • Antique and vintage sourcing alongside the new, so nothing looks bought in one afternoon

Procurement

  • Every order placed and tracked by us, on our accounts
  • A running schedule of what is ordered, shipped and landed
  • Back-orders, substitutions and damage claims handled on your behalf

Receiving and installation

  • Everything received and inspected at our warehouse, not on your driveway
  • Held in storage until the whole order is complete
  • One installation over a few days rather than eleven separate deliveries
  • Styling, bed-making, final photography and a walkthrough at the end of it

How it runs

01 · Discovery call

Thirty minutes by phone. Which rooms, what is staying, and what you want the house to feel like when people arrive.

02 · Onboarding

A visit to measure and photograph, then working sessions about how you live in the rooms — who sits where, what gets used daily, what has to survive a dog and two children.

03 · Concept

Every room in scope presented at once, with the pieces named and the materials in hand. You approve a whole, not a sequence of individual purchases.

04 · Ordering and tracking

We place the orders and manage them. Lead times on upholstery and case goods run long, and this stage is mostly patience being handled for you.

05 · Installation

Everything comes out of the warehouse together and goes in over a few days. You leave, and come back to finished rooms.

What it costs

Furnishing engagements are quoted on scope — the number of rooms and what is going in them. The figure is agreed before anything is ordered, and our fee is quoted after the Discovery Call. A retainer books your place in the calendar and is credited against the final invoice.

How long it takes

Four to nine months. Design takes six to ten weeks; the rest is lead times, which we start early and manage in the background.

Tell us about the home.

Every project starts the same way: thirty minutes on the phone, no charge and no pitch. You tell us about the house and what is not working in it, and we tell you honestly whether we are the right studio for it. Most of our clients come back afterwards — for the next room, or the next house, or the one by the lake. We would rather begin something that lasts than close something that does not.
